Confessions of a Blogaholic: Always Have a Backup Plan
You know what time it is. Time for some humpday treat confessions. If you missed last month’s confessions you can go here. I almost didn’t write today because I’ve been feeling kinda out of it. But I decided to push myself, therefore here I am. I don’t really have a lot to confess. Or at least not anything earth shattering.
Lately, though, I’m realizing that you always need plan B (and no I’m not talking about emergency contraception). Sometimes even plan C or D. Otherwise, when nothing goes as planned the end result can lead to frustration. I made the mistake of expecting certain things to come through and they didn’t. Now I have this feeling of determination firing from within because next month is going to be ten times better. It has to be, no doubt about it.
One of those realizations is that I need a side hustle. Lyft is still a possibility, but I have to get permits and inspections, blah blah blah. Rover is not as busy as I thought it would be. Then there’s the option of working from home, which I think that’s what I’m going to focus on. I applied with this company that’s out of California I believe, so we’ll see.
Another confession is that my virtual assistant business endeavors are going to have to be put on hold for now. I won’t be able to juggle it all at once because it will be too overwhelming. I know when the right time comes, I’ll be more than ready to take it on. For now, I feel like I’m on the right track with the new social media platforms I’m experimenting with and being patient with the process.
The other day I reorganized and updated my Pinterest profile. That account had cobwebs all over the place. I switched to a business account last month and I hadn’t even looked at my stats until now. There’s so much work to do, but it will be worth it. I added a Pinterest widget board on my sidebar to make it easier for you guys to find me. If you’re on there, follow me and I’ll follow back.
