February Goals – Doing What I Love
Hello to my fellow goal diggers! Can we all agree that February is the new January? I’ve seen a few memes about how January was a free trial for 2017 and now we’re getting serious, ha! The struggle is real. Today I want to share with y’all my February goals and also my ideas that seem to have lit up like fireworks.
Since my last post I’ve done a good job of getting out of the house. Went to the gym and spent time with the boyfriend. Even made myself an out of this world sandwich with veggies and all – I was proud of myself. I haven’t made much effort in making my food so this was different. Wonder why? In case you’re new here, living with my parents is nice when mom cooks all the time.
Life Changing Decision
Made the decision not to go after the corporate office type of job. Seeing how the past 2 years I’ve struggled to find a company that’s a good fit, I just don’t want to keep beating a dead horse. Let’s face it, I don’t like people telling me what to do and I much rather work doing something where I have more freedom.
That said, I partnered to be a dog sitter with Rover. Yesterday I got my first potential client and we’re meeting in a few days. The dates she needed I wasn’t too sure, but once I saw a picture of her adorable miniature poodle/maltese, I got super excited and said to myself, “I can watch him yesterday!” Get it?
Losing my dog last year, was not only devastating, but I’m left with this void where I want to take care of something. Why not take care of someone else’s dog? Walk them, give them treats, pick up their poop (which is not my favorite), and just play with them. Dogs make me so happy and since I’m a dog lover, being a dog sitter is the next best thing.
Bookworm comeback? Not so much
My guilty pleasure is watching way too many shows (thanks to Netflix). As a result, I neglected my reading and for February goals, I want to read more. There’s no reason why I can’t dedicate at least 2 or 3 hours to reading. Getting out of the house and even go to a park and read. Coffee house sounds good too.
Last week I actually applied to work at Barnes & Noble because books and discounts go hand in hand right? Just seeing what’s out there.
Recently I’m taking the Affiliate course by Making Sense of Cents and there are so many worksheets I want to print out, but haven’t gotten around to it. An idea came to me to make my own blog binder where I can keep track of the worksheets, blog ideas, anything blog related in one physical space. This will help me too, if I want to stay off the computer for a change.
Going to tap into my creative side and that entails designs and wallpapers. So that’s what I’m going to focus on is to start making designs whether it be a digital wallpaper, or a printable.
On another note, I started working out and eating better, I already lost 5 lbs in the past week and a half, yay!
My February goals in a nutshell…
Doing what I love is all my heart desires and will see it through. I owe it to myself to do what I have been putting off for the sake of trying to survive, which didn’t help me to grow. My February goals are to satisfy my need to be around animals. Also to exercise to get my mind and body right. Read to open myself up to more ideas and get immersed in my creativity so that I can give back to you guys. Of course being organized so that I can see what needs to be done with my blog.
