Yesterday I hosted my first Thanksgiving and made my first turkey. It was a very interesting experience and I’m so happy that it came out amazing. My parents came to visit me and it was great seeing them. They were impressed how well my turkey turned out, it was juicy and flavorful so needless to say, I was relieved.
Since I was busy all day yesterday prepping, cooking and getting everything ready, I had zero time for social media or my blog. So here I am, poppin’ in wanting to share what I’m thankful for.
Grateful for family
Most of all, I’m thankful for my family. My parents don’t like to travel and it meant a lot to me that they made the effort to come visit me. I also noticed that ever since I’ve been on this journey of healing, I’ve become closer to my parents than ever before. You start to understand that, just like you, they’re human too. Anything in the past that has happened, we have released, forgiven and moved forward.
Grateful for my job
I’m so thankful for my job. This past week, I made a connection with a customer that I feel she will be instrumental in helping me with my projects. Also, finding out recently that we are working remote indefinitely. I can move anywhere and not worry about driving to work anymore.
Grateful for the Twin Flame Journey
I’m thankful for my twin flame journey. This journey triggered my spiritual awakening. People awaken differently; it could be a near death experience, a serious illness, death of a loved one, divorce, or hitting rock bottom. This journey unlocked everything for me. It unraveled my spiritual gifts, tarot, breaking toxic patterns like codependency, just really learning to love myself unconditionally. I don’t care if people who aren’t on this journey judge it, think it’s crazy, etc. I’m secure in who I am and as long as I understand it, I don’t need anyone to validate it for me, not even my divine counterpart.
Grateful for music
Music has always been there for me. Lately I woke up with a song playing in my head. A few days ago, it was Dreaming With a Broken Heart by John Mayer. The lyrics that kept repeating were, “Do I have to fall asleep with roses in my hands?“. I’ve always listened to Alina Baraz and I recently found out she’s a Divine Feminine, who’s also on the twin flame journey. Taylor Swift too. Alina’s song that I keep playing is, “Change My Mind”. It’s so good.
Grateful for Bella & The Phoenix
Yeah, it was time for a rebrand! I am so excited to go through this rebirth that started during Scorpio season and the name was born the eve of 11/11. I love it! It just feels right and while Bella Gitana Tarot was great, I grew out of that name and that’s okay. It served its purpose.
Grateful for my friends
Friends in my life are like my chosen family. I made friends with new friends this year that I never thought I’d meet and now that they’re here, I’m super thankful for them: Joshua, Channa, Monica, Rukshana & Monique. Some of them I have yet to meet in person and I can’t wait.
So many other things to be thankful for, my health, my stability, my dog, my singing gift, etc. This is a good starting place though, to give thanks.
What are y’all thankful for?
