Happy New Year everyone! I’ve been busy working on my blog to kick it off on a high note for 2017 and it will be worth the wait, I promise. I have so many goodies to share and I can’t wait for you guys to see. For now I wanted to update y’all on how my New Year’s went and all that jazz.
So as you may or may not know, I have a boyfriend. This was our first New Year’s together and I was pretty excited. We went over to his friend’s sister’s house to ring in the New Year and it was a lot of fun. They made me feel welcomed and it wasn’t awkward at all.
I also learned something new: a Mexican tradition where you eat grapes right after ringing in the New Year. You make a wish for each grape you eat. How did I not know this? I was so full from the tamales, chicken and potatoes that all I could wish for was 4 wishes.
I don’t believe in not sharing your wish or it won’t come true — so I wished for my career to thrive, to live a healthier lifestyle, being financially independent and for good things to keep happening in my new relationship.
What made me more excited is that we’ll get to go on double dates with his friends and hopefully with my friends too. His friends seem to like traveling which is a good thing because we’ll have travel buddies to adventure with, yay!
Since this was our first New Year’s, we also had our first New Year’s kiss. It wasn’t long, just short and sweet. Mind you, there were kids around so I didn’t want to freak them out, okay?
Needless to say, I feel so immensely happy with the good things in my life and with this new chapter of being in a relationship, so many doors are opening and I’m excited for the journey. I hope you guys will go along for the ride with me and I wish you all a very Happy New Year!
This year is going to be amazing, I can feel it.
