Happy Thanksgiving y’all! I am about to hit the road to go see some family in San Antonio, but first I wanted to come here and wish everyone a wonderful holiday.
This Thanksgiving is a little different for me because for the first time in my life I’m not with my immediate family. My mom and sister decided to head to California to visit my grandpa and my brother is also there so they’re spending it together. My stepdad had to work so he stayed behind in Dallas. I found out last minute too and at first I was disappointed of course, but I think it was a good idea for them to make the trip out there. I would have gone but I had to work until yesterday. We worked half a day and I was thankful for that.
There are so many things to be thankful for and I could name a countless list, but I’m rushing out the door. But I will say that despite how the holiday plans turn out, there’s always another door you can walk through and I’m so thankful that I still get to be with family. I’m visiting my uncle and his wife in SA, and my cousin will be there too.
Nevertheless, I am looking forward to eating some turkey and hopefully some tamales (my uncle’s wife is Mexican) and it should be a great family gathering.
