Happy Friday eve friends! I meant serious business when I said the other day that I’m going back to reading. In the past, I didn’t really make a plan on how I was going to read more or which books. Because of that, it isn’t a surprise to me that I neglected reading altogether and I’ve missed it. Last year I only read one book – Big Magic and it seriously gave me back a yearning for reading. This time around, however, I am focused and so I made my very first 2017 reading list.
Before I dive in, I’d also like to confess that I’m not a fast reader. Just like I eat slow, I read slow. I think it also depends on the author’s style of writing because when I read Why Men Love Bitches
Right now I’m reading The Husband’s Secret (which is on the list below) and I will finish it by the end of this month. Some of these books I’ve already owned for years/months and I just haven’t made the plan to devour them, but I will. The other books I don’t have yet, but I will get to them. I figured 12 books for the year, one book a month is a good place to start. Easy peasy right?
The genres I like are fiction, memoirs and spiritual. The books I don’t have, I found online as suggestions from Goodreads and Amazon. If you’re on Goodreads add me! If you have any suggestions of your own, let me know in the comments.

What gets me even more pumped is that after I finish a book, I will do a book review for you guys so this way you can hear my 2 cents. I’ll even do spoiler reviews (with a warning of course) because it’s fun to hear you guys who may have also read a book and we can have a conversation about the book/characters/plot etc.
